Ultra Fractal

This is my favorite again: Phoenix Julia from the Standard Folder

When I was starting this fractal, I saw a likeness to my favorite Japanese painting:
The Great Wave at Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai [link]
and tried to bring it out as much as possible...within reason, of course.

Full view is recommended for the details.

This was my entry for the One Fractal Summer contest 2006. It took third place.

Wow... I just love the contrasting bands of blue on the wave, and the pattern is just jaw-dropping. Very elegant. Again, I just love it :aww:
Thanks so much for the great comment...I'm glad you like this. Thanks for the :+fav: as well...very cool!

If this is not the perfect contribution to the summer contest, I know nothing more at all.
It is nice fantastic, I like everything in it. The colours are promise a welcome refreshment
and especially I like the slightly 3D look, generated by the small metallic spirals and the
highlights on the big waves. I LOVE IT! :+favlove:

Wonderful waves. Good luck on the contest.
